Well, why the fuck not?
From very humble beginnings—when we had no idea what the hell we were doing—we just wanted an excuse to have fun with friends in the mountains, under the sun… and why not in our bikinis? What started as a joke on a chairlift quickly turned into, “Well, why not? We can pull this off.”
It began with a group of friends who met up, built a very ghetto course, and just ran with it. With backgrounds ranging from big mountain competition and competitive boardercross to backcountry powerhouses, banked slalom queens, and women who simply wanted to be part of something unique and totally outrageous all at the same time, the Bikini Banked Slalom was born.
After competing in plenty of events where the ratio was something like 40 dudes to 8 women, we decided to make this one just for the gals. It’s okay, bros—you can still come hang—but the race is for the ladies :).
Michigan City
Located up Little Cottonwood Canyon in the historic Michigan City area, the girlz gather in their bikinis to battle for the fastest time
The old mine tailings make this the perfect place to dig a banked slalom course, using the rolling mounds and natural gullies to create banked turns.
